Michael Weatherly was born on July 8th, 1968, in New York, but grows up in Fairfield, CT. Very soon he begins to get passionate to music and theatre. He later decides to give up on his studies and become an actor. His family obviously doesn’t take his choice very well, in fact he is cut off from his inheritance (Now, money-wise, he can’t really complain, though). At the beginning he manages to reconcile his two biggest passions (music and acting), but then the roles he’s signed for are more and more and the music career has to be put aside. The first notable appearance is in “The Cosby Show”, where he plays Theo’s housemate.

The next step is moving to Los Angeles, where he signs quite a lot of contracts, especially with Fox. In fact, he appears in “Ally McBeal”, “The Crow”, “Charmed” and “Jesse”. In 1995, he marries the actress Amelie Heinle, whom he had met on the set of “Loving” and “The City”. Unfortunately the marriage ends in 1997, in spite of the birth of their son August, one year earlier. In 2000 Michael’s great turn finally arrives. He joins the cast of James Cameron series “Dark Angel”, playing Logan Cale. “Dark Angel” brings to Michael Weatherly success and love (of his co-star Jessica Alba).

In May 2002 Fox takes the controversial decision to cancel the show after two seasons. The producer Donald Bellisario then signs Michael to play Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo in “JAG” spin-off, “Navy NCIS”. While his professional life goes smoothly well, we can’t really say the same about his private life. In Summer 2003, after a 3 years long relationship and a 2 years long engagement, Michael and Jessica split up. “Dark Angel” is now only a distant memory.

Little appearence on the big screen in 2005 thank to “Her Minor Thing”, directed by Charles Matthau, son of the unforgettable Walter.

Michael now lives in Valencia (Los Angeles), logical choice given that “NCIS” is filmed there during most of the year. This turned up to be a great choice even from the human relationships point of view, as he found a group of awesome friends in his colleagues. There’s a close friendship between Michael and Pauley Perrette (Abby in “NCIS”), who has a blog in which she writes about the evenings and the relaxing moments with the cast, laughing and joking while on Tuesday they all watch the show on tv.

No hectic L.A. life, no parties or Hollywood premieres, no gossip. Only magazine covers earned with professional achievements and serious interviews. Thanks Michael.
